Sunday Sunrise Surprise

August 2, 2026

Right at sunrise time this morning the creek behind my house was at dead low tide. Egrets and ibises were drawn to mud flats along its banks as good platforms to fish from.  The very narrowed waterway apparently concentrated the fin fish population resulting in a target rich environment for the birds.  This Sunday sunrise surprise caught my eye so I photographed it even  before getting a cup of coffee.
