This is NOT the ‘Supermoon’ of August 1st (3 days ago). According to NASA, citing the Maine Farmer’s Almanac, the Algonquin tribes referred to the full moon in August as the Sturgeon Moon a name commonly used even today. This photograph was taken by me several years ago and shows a full moon rising over waves and a jetty in Rehoboth Beach depicted in a dreamlike quality.
