It is definitely getting a little easier to get out before sunrise and put the first sunlight of the day in the Nikon box. Today my alarm went off at 5:15 and I was able to get a cup of coffee, do some quick weather checks, leave my house at 5:40, and still be on the beach almost 40 minutes before sunrise time. It helps that I have several interesting spots to set up for sunrise within a very short drive of my house. Labor Day weekend Sunday started with quite few people on the beach at Herring Point greeting the sun.
