I knew I had to beat the clouds this morning to have any chance of good light at sunrise. I was set up by 5:45 this morning and watched clouds move from northwest to southeast, filling a very open sky with their sun blocking ways. But luck was with me and a small break at the horizon let the sun shine in. There was about 15 minutes of nice light and then the shade was pulled down, or, more accurately, the sun rose above the break and the sky turned a very drab shade of gray.
