On the Mid-Atlantic coast we have had an extended period of foggy-drizzly-dismal-chilly-gray-Puget Sound like funk weather for around 73 consecutive days (not really but it seemed like that long) until today when SUMMER burst upon us. Actually tomorrow begins the astrological summer with the solstice occurring at 10:42 EDT. I chose this photo to post today because it screams SUMMER MORNING to me despite the fact that I shot it close to the equinox in spring. Red in the sky at dawn is a great and welcome change from gray fog.
