A few years ago I visited Captiva Island in August, a time of year when conditions are very tropical. Not surprisingly, afternoon thunderstorms over the hot Gulf of Mexico waters were common. When in the distance they made unbelievable cloud forms as seen here looking south along the beach. I like this in black and white more than in color.
