For those of us fortunate enough to live near the coast, Labor Day marks a turn in the season when beaches are far less populated and open space is more plentiful. This morning, Labor Day morning, was cloudy and rainy so I share a photograph taken yesterday morning that symbolizes, at least to me, the gate opening to sparsely populated fall beaches. Seen here a small group welcomes the sun on what may be their last hurrah for summer at the beach. Back to work and back to school!
