Capitol Moonrise

I was in D.C. last week on an evening when the full moon rose directly over the United Sates Capitol Building. Waiting for the elements to align, I made a photograph that I have had in my mind for a number of years. Luckily the sky was cloudless, the moon was bright and I didn’t have to fight for my space on the mall.
