Fall/Winter Sunset

November 23, 2025

With the sun now arching daily very far south, sunset is early and too often has that look of winter in it. Shortly after I posted an older sunrise photo yesterday afternoon to brighten up a cloud filled gloomy day the clouds parted a bit and full sunlight lit up the woods and marsh around my house.  The possibility of a nice sunset seemed realistic so I packed up my drone and my camera and headed out in hopes of finding glorious red and orange clouds as the sun descended upon the southwest horizon. We know that weather is more than passingly fickle and my pre-envisioned, warm colored end of day sky spluttered into the reality of a quick hole in the cloud cover that lit up Canary Creek and the marsh grass on the edge of the creek.  Beauty and mood is where you find them and I found this brief moment to be enough for now.
