
A mixed bag of weather is moving into the east today with precipitation ranging from cold rain to sleet and freezing rain to snow forecast to affect Delmarva to Maine. Just a degree or two can mean the difference between wet, ice, or snow. The ice crystals that formed on the branch seen in this photograph are the result of fog that developed when the air temperature was in the upper 20s. It’s a rare weather condition that yields a very unique result.
