Frozen Out

January 5, 2008

The past few days have been frigid here in Delaware and the ponds and bays have developed icy surfaces.  This changes the world for the waterfowl who have settled in to the local waterways for the winter.  Watching them walk on the ice is comical, and their reflections are beautiful on the ice surface.  Sunrise at the Cape towers this morning was very cold and a little stark.
