I got a new lens for my birthday the other day. My photography friends will want to know precisely what has been added to my arsenal of equipment so please excuse me as I geek out for just a minute. For my Nikon Z9 body I now have the Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S. It’s a great portrait and macro lens. Now, back to non-geek prose. I tested out the macro quality of this new lens on a wildflower garden hours after unpacking it. I shot Large Milkweed Bugs on both milkweed pods and on butterfly milkweed flowers. I love this new lens.
