The day started gray and dreary as yesterday’s snow and rain moved off to the northeast. It turned sunny in the afternoon and I found a couple thousand Snow Geese near Primehook refuge enjoying a field of winter wheat. The sunset at the refuge was well worth waiting for. I would have really enjoyed seeing all of those geese pass in front of the setting sun, but I’ll have to wait for another day for that moment.
