April is really our transition month into warm temperatures and the return of summer bird visitors to the coast. I looked back into my files from Aprils in the past and found this Glossy Ibis feeding and scratching its chin in a local coastal pond on April 18. I’m looking forward to the ponds filling with Egrets and other wading birds. They are on their way.
