We saw our first egret of the year this afternoon in the marsh behind our house. This Snowy Egret was photographed a few years ago but I chose it to represent the seasonal milestone of first egret spotted in a DE marsh. As rain turns to snow this afternoon and the egret I spotted maybe wondering why it arrived here in this weather, we know this kind of yo-yoing weather is par for the course.
