I went mushroom hunting the other day in woods at Cape Henlopen State Park. We have had some rain recently so damp fall woods are primed for mushroom growth and my form of hunting is looking for subjects to photograph. The first 5 shots are of mushrooms in the Amanita family. I don’t know mushrooms by type, only by what catches my eye while walking in the woods. My attempts at identification are only as good as what iNaturalist tells me so correct my IDs, please, if I’m off the mark with my identification. The flat white one is a Fly Agaric and the orange round ones are Yellow-orange Fly Agaric. The red gilled mushroom is a Red Chantarelle, and the reddish round one is a Scurry Deceiver. I threw in bright red Poison Ivy as in the pine forest I was in it supplied the most outstanding fall foliage color.
