As The Drone Sees It

One of the things that photography brings to me is the opportunity (maybe it is more like responsibility) to really look hard at a subject for interesting shape, color, light and shadow, texture and moment.  Adding a photography drone as a tool to explore with has brought me a deeper experience in finding interesting subjects to photograph.  Yesterday, in late afternoon light, I flew my drone in a marsh with several frozen creeks.  The amount of frozen saltwater along our coast this winter is exceptional so I am doing a lot of shooting with my drone to capture sights rarely seen around here.  My exploration of ice patterns, textures and vistas yesterday was a lot of fun.  Here are a few images from my drone flight in the marsh.  I hope you see the beauty and interesting visual as I did. This condition is quite rare for Delaware and the drone lets us see it in a way we could never safely see it on foot.
