I decided last night to visit Bombay Hook Refuge this morning just to see what might be waiting to be photographed. The weather forecast called for partly cloudy sky so I hoped for a little sun. It turned out to be completely overcast, and birds were scarce to nonexistent within photography range, I was joined by other humans in cars circling the ponds but rarely stopping. I found this great blue heron representing the mood of the morning. I passed it once while another photographer shot the scene and when I looped around about 40 minutes later the GBH was still perched in the same spot, eyes barely open. It was just that kindergarten of morning.
