I watched, but did not photograph, the sun coming up yesterday as a big, deep red ball due to thick haze from forest fires out west. Hoping for a similar sunrise today I hit the surf at Cape Henlopen State Park but the sun disappointed and the surf was literally six inches to a foot high. So, here is a photograph of the sunrise above mini wave splash. The ocean water is still warm and the air was more like August this morning. A 7:00 a.m. swim with my camera wasn’t unpleasant at all.
