The other day I posted a photograph of a monarch butterfly feeding on nectar of a coneflower. The morning I shot that also provided several other interesting subjects in a pollinator garden. This goldfinch is feasting on coneflower seeds in sunlight that has just cleared the horizon. Set off against a dark, shadowed background its striking yellow literally glows.
