Pam and I visited Hatteras Village yesterday to check out the marinas as people are prepping for the Hatteras Village Offshore Open fishing tournament. Being the avid photographers that we are we saw visual opportunities abound as the sky darkened with the approaching cold front. The dramatic sky as backdrop made for some pretty nice big fish catching hardware photos. Boats and crews are rigged and ready for the start of the tournament which kicks off tomorrow morning. Last year a 584 lb blue marlin won that category and a total of 63 billfish were released. We hope to get more dockside photographs over the next few days.
