Over the years I’ve been asked to photograph events, people, teams, sports, families, etc. which I am usually happy to do if time allows. A favorite thing I shoot is the Ocean City Surf Club’s (OCSC) Surfing Into Integrity program. This is a program that links experiences surfing with life decisions. It is a very cool program which you can learn more about on the OCSC website. Today was the first of two days of the Surfing Into Integrity Summer Camp which brings many young kids who have little to no experience with the beach and ocean to the beach to try surfing. I have photographed this event for the Club for a few summers now and I always feel uplifted witnessing the joy the ocean brings to these kids. The smile on this guy’s face says it all I think. He had just ridden his first wave to shore and loved it.
